Credit Card Declined
If your credit card is declined, it may be due to various reasons, including specific errors or issues with your bank's authorization process. Below are some common scenarios:
AVS (Address Verification System) Error:
What is it? The AVS system checks the billing address you provide against the one your bank has on file. If they don't match, the transaction will be declined.
How to resolve it:
• Double-check your billing address and ensure it exactly matches the address on your credit card statement.
• Contact your bank to confirm the correct billing address if unsure.
3D Secure (3DS) Error:
What is it? 3D Secure is an added security step requiring a one-time password (OTP) during checkout. If the 3DS page does not load properly, the payment may be declined.
How to resolve it:
• Try the transaction again; it may be a temporary glitch.
• Try using a different or updated browser.
• Contact your bank’s customer support to check if their 3D Secure page is operational.
Important Note: If your order is declined but you receive an SMS notification from your bank, this is only a pre-authorization and not a final charge. The amount may be temporarily blocked but will be reversed automatically within a few days.
