Online Orders: Return & Refund Policies

  • Eligibility for Return & Refund : Returns and refunds can only be processed when eligible purchases are returned using the proper method. Before bringing purchased items to the store, please contact us via WhatsApp or Email to confirm eligibility and receive further instructions.
  • Return Period : Returns will be accepted within 7 days of the receipt date. If returned items are shipped or brought to the store after the specified period, unfortunately we cannot issue a refund.
  • Condition of Returned Items : All returned items must be in a saleable condition and in their original packaging.
  • Return Process : Returns can only be processed at Kinokuniya Bookstore (Dubai Mall or Galleria Mall) at the Customer Service counters. Customers can:
    (1) Bring the returned items directly to the store, or (2) Request a return service by courier (this service has a AED15.00 fee , which will be deducted from the refund amount).
  • Refund Process : Eligible items can be returned for a refund. The refund will be processed for the items amount (excluding any vouchers or coupons) to the original payment method within 7 days after the date of delivery. Refunds will be processed once the returned items are received at our store. It may take several business days for the amount to appear on your online statement, depending on your card issuer’s internal procedures. Credit Card refunds usually take 7–14 days while Debit Card refunds may take 30 days or more.
  • Return Conditions : All returned items must be in their original condition. Products must be sealed or unopened. Please note that shipping fees are non-refundable.
  • Defective Items : If the item you received is defective, please contact us via WhatsApp or Email. We will arrange a proper replacement accordingly.
  • Items Not Eligible for Return or Refund : CDs, DVDs, and audiovisual materials (non-book items) | Dated items (calendars, diaries etc.) | Figures, stationery, boardgames and collectible items | Books that contain activation or access codes | Comics and manga | Blind box toys | Trading cards (e.g., Pokémon, One Piece, etc.) | Posters | Puzzles | Toys.
  • For orders shipped outside the UAE, we regret to inform you that NO RETURNS or REFUNDS are available.
