Geoengineering is defined here as technologies that could counteract the effects of climate change. This illustrated work of speculative geoengineering envisions what the Earth would be like after employing five specific forms of geoengineering technology. Combining facts and poetic imagery, the five scenarios read like graphic novels or speculative fiction. The book also contains several overview essays on technologies and processes of geoengineering and climate engineering, and their attendant ethical issues. B&w and two-color illustrations are included throughout. Editor Rania Ghosn teaches architecture and urbanism at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
