Ghasts can be a real pain when you're trying to survive an ultimate challenge. In book two of The Magic Portal series, Keri and Omar bravely return to the magic portal to visit the ancient Nether and learn as much as they can about these unusual and dangerous creatures and get the competitive edge they need to survive. While they're exploring the mysterious origins of these floating, fire-ball-launching beasts, they discover new limitations in their magic portal's capabilities: a timer. When a mysterious figure messes with their plans and blocks their passage home, Keri and Omar must find a way to complete their mission and get past their unseen enemy before the clock runs down. Will they make it? Only time will tell.
